The PeaceWithiran.com project is a non-for-profit labor of love with the sole intention of sharing Persian and Iranian culture with the rest of the world from a non-biased viewpoint by a variety of people of all ages and from all walks of life who share a common passion for exploring world cultures and fostering more peace in the world.

What started out as a very simple idea has quickly snowballed into a very exciting and exhilerating team project with tens of thousands of views from people from all over the world who want to learn more and share with others their love of cultural diversity and a more peaceful planet – in this case specifically geared towards the country, people, art, poetry, books, movies, and music of Iran. From the most anceint art, poetry, handicrafts, and architecture of the once great mighty and historical kingdom of Persian to the modern-day Iran with its rich and colorful people and thriving culture.

We also do our fair share of offering those interested in politics, human rights, and political and social activism a platform to share their views, articles, and blog posts as well. Knowing how important it is to increase awareness of the various social and political events and issues that could have an impact on all living beings on the planet today. It truly is going to take a village to raise this child called “Peace” if we are going to acheive our objective: to spread more worldwide awareness of Iran and its beautiful culture and heritage and to prevent any military action from all sides. The goal is a simple one. No one gets hurt and no one suffers on either side of the great Atlantic. And together we realize how similar we all are through cultural exchange, diplomacy, and sharing not only our glorious differences, but also our many surprising similarities.

The PeaceWithIran.com project is funded solely through the creators of the site and by contibutions from visitors who enjoy the site and feel aligned with goals of the project: To bridge the cultural divide between East and Wast and help foster more peace in the world.

Between hosting, design, programming, maintenance, and administraive duties the annual cost of keeping www.PeaceWithIran.com online comes to approximately $15,000 per year. What makes the project even more exciting is that it is a shared team effort between Americans and Iranian/Americans alike. One of those rare occurrences and opportunities in life that just plain feels good.

We believe that world peace is not just a slogan, nor is it simple political rhetoric in order to gain political office, nor is it simply a protest sign carried through the streets. But it takes well thought out, long term, and creative action such as projects through team effort like this one.
